Safe Internet for Churches

Why Church organizations should choose filtered-only Internet:

• The Lords prayer says '...lead me not into temptation'.  No one is above temptation and there are many on the Web.  It is a prudent choice to get filtered access only.
• To set the example.  After all we can't preach "never surf where its unsafe or tempting" unless we first set the example to our church body.

Consider these troubling findings from a recent Time/CNN survey of teenagers and their Internet viewing habits:

• 95% said they have visited Web sites that either exhibit sexual content, profile hate groups, show how to purchase guns, or promote building bombs.
• 62% said parents know "little" or "nothing" about their viewing habits.
• 43% said parents don't have rules for them when it comes to Internet use.
